History & Purpose
Gamepraise began June 1st, 2006 as a Christian gaming site providing extensive information on Christian video games. This is not only a site to get information about Christian games but a place for Christian gamers to connect with each other. Since its inception the priority has been on content through reviews, screenshots and videos. Establishing relationships with Christian developers has helped us to grow our site with more game reviews and inside content exclusive to Gamepraise. With the premier of the second incarnation of our site, our goal is to provide a positive place for gamers and parents providing the best content possible.
Reviews
We base our reviews on five areas: biblical message, gameplay, controls, graphics and sound, which are given a plus, minus or neutral score. With each game we try to devote a least one hour of gameplay to give a full outline of the gamešs basic structure and functions. Our overall game ratings are based on a scale of 1-10 with 1 as the lowest possible score and 10 as the highest. Because Christian games have a smaller budget than secular games it would not be fair to compare the Christian gameplay experience to big budget games. So we rate our games by comparing them to other Christian video games. For example, an 8 out of 10 is better than most Christian games, while a 3 out of 10 is worse than other Christian games.
We are always looking for game reviewers so if you would like to write reviews for Gamepraise please email a review of any of Christian video game and your gaming background to gamepraisenet@gmail.com. After submitting the review, please allow at least a week for a response. If the review is accepted we will obtain your permission to add the review to our site, along with credit for writing the review.
